This worked perfect for the beach with the kids! One day after a little while me and the GF were in the front of the tent for some shade. Some days we used it to keep our stuff out of the sun and minimize the influx of sand. Other times if a kid had a little too much sun or wanted to sit in the shade and eat or drink, this was perfect. The only down side is getting it back into the tiny bag when you are done. It is a hassle and with wind and sand it is the most frustrating. The second day the bag ripped rendering it useless. For the next trip I bought a mesh bag to put this and some of our other beach stuff in.
