At first I liked it; But now, after just a month of use, the large studded heel plate has broken in half. i give them back Very bad materials. Original Review: I've had the Katoula brand ($70) for a few years and they've always provided good traction, but my feet always hurt after walking and I felt like I was walking on cobblestones. It's a daily round trip mile to get to our mailbox and we usually add an extra mile to carry. The dirt road is compacted and becomes very icy after a few snowfalls. They also offer excellent grip on polished ice and are much more comfortable. My feet don't hurt at all even after several kilometers in one day. Can't comment on the durability of the upper as I put a set of cleats on my boots and leave them on all winter; I only change shoes when I don't need the spikes so I don't stretch them every time I wear them.
