Review on Explore the World of Animal Crossing with Series 1 Single Pack - 6 Exclusive Cards! by Mike Ken

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cute, fun and collectable!

I was skeptical about the release of these cards. Mainly because other amiibo releases haven't been able to keep up with supply and demand. So the first one to buy all the shares gets a reward, while the rest have to pay speculative prices. These card packs are the opposite (don't let the Revain scalpers scare you). ToysRus, Target and Gamestop always have a decent supply (8 to 18 bags of clothespins or showcases) on hand even after the release. daily rush. So I would advise anyone interested to check out the local shops! (Packs are $6.99 depending on where you go. They can be pennies or a dollar cheaper at some stores.) There are 6 cards in a deck. One SP card (17 total for this wave) and 5 regular cards. In an ideal world with no duplicates, it would take 18 decks to get a full set of 100. I'll save you money and say I bought 36 decks and I'm still missing 6 regular cards. In the spirit of all trading cards, they are meant to be traded! If you want the complete set, don't waste your money, trade with friends or look for swap sites online. Not only is it a lot more fun, IMO, but. it's cheaper. much cheaper. The cards themselves do a few things that I'll describe: They work just like regular amiibos! There is a chip on the back of the card that you can insert into your DS (or use a reader on older 3DS models) to register the card. - For regular villagers, this allows you to craft for them at any time (without having to encounter them naturally/randomly during gameplay) and unlock design elements faster. (You unlock the amiibo phone in-game, so it's not at the very beginning where you can access the design elements they unlock) - For SP (NPC) characters, you can only craft for them and access their items , if you have their card . If you do this you can style them as usual and unlock their design elements (Isabelle for example unlocks a scooter, Isabelle's picture and a dress) - House parties! If you have a villager card and want to invite them to your friends house, you can! (However, you must have the card of the villager you want to invite.) You can also share these cards with your friends. If your friend doesn't have a villager but you don't have a copy of this map. Your friend can still touch the card and redeem items and character skins! As far as I know there is no limit to the number of times and different games that can be used with the card! The cards themselves are very good! They are made of thick plastic (thicker than most trading cards) and the images and colors are sharp and vibrant. Many villagers also have very cute poses! Rare cards have a foiled/glossy background. I really like the cards and was planning on getting the whole set (and obviously lots of duplicates). But I planned to trade a lot with friends. You're unlikely to get exactly what you want in one pack (a lot of people just want Isabelle or Resetti, for example, which I think are significantly rarer than other SP characters), but for trading cards it should be. So far, Nintendo has handled supply and demand well (like I said in the beginning. Every store I've visited since release day has had at least 8 sets available, and no store has ever had a pack limit that you can buy right away. ) It does so fun to grab a pack and see what you get! But if you want the full set (or are looking for a specific SP), be prepared to pay a bit more.
