I bought two of these. I turned them on when they arrived and they turned on fine, so I assumed they were fine. I spent several hours installing them in 2 of my windows, taking the time to ensure they were evenly spaced with a hook at the top and bottom of each strand. They looked great but the timer doesn't work on any of the kits! I've used many other brands of garland with timers that work perfectly. I've tried everything to get it working. Night after night I tried different methods (tried every tip I could find in the Q&A section) and everything else I could think of, but each night they stayed on for at least 8 hours before finally turning them off manually. A big plus for me is the timer! I don't want to bother with turning them on and off every night. I will try to return them even though I didn't keep the boxes they came in.
