The bag has a lining, which is good because both the lining and the outer fabric are relatively thin. The bag has an outside zip at the top and a small inside pocket with a zip. It would be nice to have some extra organizational features like delimiters; plus two elastic bands inside to keep the compact umbrella upright. I ended up sewing my organizers for him. Since it is a large bag, I plan to use it as a day trip bag. So I will have many things - maybe a jacket, an umbrella, some shopping during the day and who knows what. Despite the lack of organizational features, I like the bag and will use it.
