Many people may overlook the importance of sound in video production. In fact, in most cases audio is just as important as video quality, if not more so. The Synco G1 system is very compact. As you can see in the attached images, the transmitter and receiver are almost the same size, measuring at 2 x 1.5 x 5/8 inches. The clip on the transmitter doubles as a hot shoe mount for the camera, so you can easily attach it to your camera. It also has a headphone jack so you can control the audio while recording if your camera doesn't have a headphone jack. The receiver has the same clip so you can clip it to your shirt, or you can use the included lavalier mic, which is about 4 feet long. I have used this system to record interviews and it does the job perfectly. They worked right out of the box. I didn't have to plug them in before using them. I don't have any other wireless microphone system to compare it to, but you can hear in the attached sample that the sound is very clear. I also like the case they include. It feels strong yet light, packs everything and is very easy to carry. They also include a short 3.5mm audio cable for use with a smartphone, which is very handy. Another accessory I really like is the USB-A to 2 USB-C charging cable! Now you can charge two devices at the same time using just one USB-A port! Now for the cons. The reason I deducted a star is because the advertised signal distance is up to 50 feet, but in my test video in a fairly open area, the signal starts fading in and out at about 60 feet (it doesn't matter if the person with the microphone facing the camera or facing away from the camera). This isn't a problem for me at all as I don't think I'll ever use it at such a great distance (60ft is already a very good working distance). A display that shows the battery status would also be great. Aside from that, this system will greatly improve your video performance at a very affordable price! It is very compact and easy to use! Worth the investment! Highly recommended!
