I am not sure if I should return the product. My previous power supplies did not usually heat up that quickly. I understand if it was connected all the time while I was working on the mini for about 3 hours but it was less than an hour or 45 minutes so I can login and restore it. At the moment I'm driving on battery power and only use it for charging when the Mini is off. If it gets too hot for my peace of mind, I unplug it and let it cool before stopping charging. I'm sure leaving this plugged in alone when the Mini is on is impractical, but maybe that's just my paranoia. Oh the fork fits decently but not flush. It appears to be 2mm or less longer so when plugged in the plastic base doesn't fit the side of the mini device exposing some silver.
