Suitable for me and my pup
Advantages: You can open the top step for easy storage or adjust the height as needed. Hardwood floors, you can put something on the floor to hold it in place as some dogs (like mine) run up the stairs quickly and this causes the stairs to move and slide. I simply used my coffee table leg to sit comfortably next to the base and wedged a ladder between it and the sofa to prevent shifting.
