Review on Studio Designs Folding Station 13221 by Jamie Sanchez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Useful but very fragile.

While the table top is pretty decent and I love the side trays, it's a little difficult to lower this table once you've set it up - I usually have to raise the table by hand. a metal latch at the back to allow it to slide into the "lowered" position. Unfortunately this product was delivered to me both times, it arrived broken. The first time, the metal screws/fixtures on the lower left side of the table completely detached from the chipboard making it difficult if not impossible to raise and lower the table top. The second time, the two plastic latches that serve as the plastic side shells broke. This second approach doesn't have much impact on how I use the table, so I prefer to leave it as I appreciate the workspace the table provides. However, please note that this table is very fragile and may arrive broken when it arrives at your home. It's not that easy for its size; that's a good 30 kilos. It's not that heavy for a sturdy table but combined with how fragile this table feels and it's hard to move because it looks like you could break it in half just by looking at it funny. Regarding assembly. Legs, I would recommend placing both legs and the horizontal bar in place before you begin. Gradually increase pressure on the bar until it snaps into place on each pair of legs; Who knows what it can do if you put all your effort into it from the start? Trying and gently tapping with a hammer didn't work for me. Also when lifting the table to turn it over, be very careful and try to press the table top against the rest of the frame. I'm not sure how durable chipboard is. I really want to give this desk a higher rating for providing such a comfortable place to draw, but I've never had so much trouble bringing something home.
