Review on πŸ”§ Effortlessly Remove Automotive Hoses with OTC 4521 Hose Removal Tool by Phil Casey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great tool - no bleeding joints

This tool is amazing. I always struggle with hoses snagging on water pumps, thermostat housings and everything in between. It seems that despite everything, the hoses are held as if glued. This thing removes the hose every time. The hook shape works really well to separate the hose from the neck it's on and I can get around the entire neck most of the time with the way it's angled. The only downside is that you may not be able to reuse the hose every time. The sharp end will allow you to penetrate between the hose and the neck it is attached to, but since the sharp end will allow you to do this, it will also puncture the hose without much effort once you start prying the hose with a vomit Neck Pry Tool. Don't use it as a tool in a hose or you'll puncture the hose every time. I damaged a hose to the point where I could no longer use it due to the sharp point, but time and hassle saved working on an old truck and family car that was VERY worth damaging a hose. The simple fact that I didn't get up with bloody knuckles from a hose that blew off my hand and jammed the engine when the hose eventually broke free from the tug of war and the tools flew down the street after a fit of swearing was worth it . .
