I wish skincare manufacturers would stop adding alcohol and fragrance to a lot of their products. For those with sensitive skin or sensitivity to smells, it can be frustrating to open a new serum and realize it can't be used. Yes I know. Normally, alcohol doesn't play a role in skincare products unless it's in the top 4, like this one. This means it can be drier and cause irritation. It is usually added so that the product dries quickly when applied to the skin; texture enhancer. I'm disappointed because, for example, this serum contains more alcohol than niacinamide, a skin-friendly ceramide that I plan to use in my skincare regimen. I have sensitive skin and want my skincare regimen to be alcohol-free or fragrance-free, which are potentially irritating. The product name also says "eye to eye". Why would I apply alcohol to the delicate, thin, mature skin around my eyes? Lapcos Red Collagen Eye to Face Ampoule is cloudy, colorless and has a medium density gel-like texture. Given the weight of the serum I think a pump would be more appropriate than a dropper. Air enters the wand and prevents the pipette from aspirating or dispensing the gel well. 1 oz hard plastic dropper bottle in a beautiful red colour. As for smell, it has a medicinal-tart floral smell. Adding collagen to skin care products like this will not replace the lost collagen in the skin. The molecules are just too big to get in. Instead, hydrolyzed collagen promotes skin hydration. So why add alcohol to something meant to moisturize the skin? I'm so confused about the formula and how it's marked. Alcohol and scent aside, there are a few seemingly nice ingredients and this could be a decent serum. However, if you have dry, sensitive skin or don't like the smell of your skincare products, I would avoid this product.
