I have used Chums Caps for many years on a variety of hats in locations around the world. I've never lost a hat. Even though they blew my head off, Cham's servant always stood his ground when I've been boating, sitting on the roof of a Land Rover on safari, hiking or whatever. The clasps hold tight but won't damage the fabric. The cable is strong and will not fray. I bought a few to keep jackets open that didn't have a double zip. I love it very much!
