Very Durable - Medical Supplies & Equipment

These Nuvein compression stockings offer varying levels of compression to reduce swelling and improve circulation. They come with open and closed fingers. I really like the peep toe style as I can wear strappy sandals with it. They come in medium to high compression. In general, medium compression is best for mild swelling, long journeys, and heaviness in the legs, while high compression is best for chronic swelling and varicose veins and other circulatory problems. However, it is best to check with your doctor which compression level is appropriate. best for you. The compression hose is different from the TED hose. TED tubes are designed for people who don't move or spend most of their time in bed and compression is greatest in the shin area. The compression tube is designed for ambulatory patients to control swelling and improve circulation. Be sure to buy the right hosiery. They are quite thick and durable from Nuvein. Like all other compression stockings, they should be hand washed and dried. They work best if you put them on before swelling occurs. Compression is graduated in the upper and is light enough not to cause arching over the toe. With full socks there is no compression in the toe and heel area. My husband has chronic ankle swelling and he really likes these socks. He finds them comfortable and they completely control his swelling. I only get swelling when traveling long distances by car or plane. Since I do this almost weekly, I love it. The beige color does not stand out, and the open toe is combined with thongs or flip-flops. The size is a bit small. I'm tall with skinny legs and the small size is perfect for me. My husband is a bit overweight but definitely needs an XLarge size as he usually wears a large size in compression stockings. So if your legs and ankles are not thin, you should choose one size larger.
