Beautiful, durable and space-saving!

I have just purchased and assembled this crib for our unborn baby so I cannot rate its durability. But the rest is important to me! This bed is wonderful! I bought it in white to match my current antique bed frame and dresser which I polished with arctic white enamel. It goes together perfectly and also goes well stylistically with the rest of the bedroom furniture. I assembled this crib by myself, 6 months pregnant, in just a foot more space than the finished crib. It took about an hour and connected easily with the included Allen key and pliers. I bought a 3" Dream On Me 2-in-1 Mini Crib/Playground Mattress to fit the crib. It fits PERFECTLY - I actually have to press on it to put it in place. I think the biggest complaints about mattress mismatches are probably design issues. When you put the metal braces on the wooden mattress platform, don't pull them all the way down until you have the mattress pad and faceplate on the cradle, then align everything and tighten all the screws on all parts at the same time This may have to do with this as well led to some people complaining that they are meant for drilling additional holes - I didn't have enough free space on one of the legs when I started installing the faceplate and it didn't seem to line up properly with the pre-drilled hole. slightly loosened, although I was able to screw everything in properly and then re-tighten with no problem. It was definitely difficult to tighten the screws on the wall-facing side of the back legs when the entire crib was assembled when trying to rock the pregnant bump between the crib and the wall, but I managed! So I have a crib that fits perfectly, fits right on top of the mattress and is incredibly strong. My only real complaint would be that I eventually lost the mattress support board trying to attach it and the metal supports rubbed on the inside of the legs leaving scratches because the wood/surface is so soft. This could have been avoided if I had had help assembling it (but I was too impatient to wait for my partner to return from work!) but it definitely made me realize that I needed the top rails for some reason wanted to protect the little girl starts to pull and teeth, because the little teeth definitely make a number on the softer wood. ******Update: We've been using this crib for four months now and I'm still just as happy! We moved a week before the baby was due so the crib had to be mostly disassembled and reassembled in the new location but this gave me a chance to tighten everything up before putting the baby in it. She sleeps very comfortably every night and after 4 months of use she is still strong and durable! My girl is over 90 but she still has room to grow. So: super cute cot, perfect for tight spaces and still great after a few months!
