The toilet mats are rolled up tightly and shipped in a small package. However, it unfolds to full size and the soft rubber material spreads out fairly quickly without leaving any big creases. To me, it feels like a non-slip bathmat under a human foot, so the manufacturer's claim that it's cap-friendly should be pretty accurate. We had this on the bathroom floor in addition to the rug we already had and I think it helped pick up some of the junk they usually track everywhere. I see less dirt on the bathroom floor and I see dirt build up in the texture of the carpet. The advantage of such a carpet is that the accumulated dirt can be shaken out and, if necessary, simply washed out of the hose.
