I waited two washes to write this review due to hair fall. But let me start from the beginning. I washed the sheets before using them. They fit my soft mattress and offer a lot of extra space. Rubber bands around the corners hardly seem necessary. I was impressed by how light they are and I suspect they don't wrinkle even if you crumple them into a ball. They are very thin and very, very soft and plush. I mean "tasty" because the feel is very velvety and creamy. I love sleeping between these sheets. But they shed! Another reviewer says it's pills, but they're not the same as pills. For me, peeling is very small, dense balls that cling to the fabric, making the leaves prickly. It doesn't apply to these. The "brushed microfiber" is combed and collected into small cotton flocks. They stick to my skin and clog the carpet when I shake them off the bed! But they're not uncomfortable, just a mess. I washed them a second time to make sure it was a one off issue but they continue to shed, although not as much. I suspect the more they get rid of the fluffy microfibers, the less soft and creamy they will feel. And then I buy more! UPDATE: After a few more washes, the sheets stopped fluffing. They are just as soft (I think). I still love them and will order them again. Maybe when I get a new set I'll have a comparison to see if they really are that soft.
