Tandy Leather Center Bar Buckle 1-1/2 " (38mm) Solid Brass 1722-01: Mixed Experience

I recently purchased a solid brass Tandy Leather Center Bar Buckle for a leather belt project. Although the quality of the materials used is undoubtedly good, I have some reservations about this product. Let's start with the positives: the buckle is well made and looks great on my leather belt. The brass finish has a great shine that enhances the overall look of the belt. The center bar allows the strap to be adjusted to a comfortable size, and the 1-1/2" is perfect for my needs. However, my experience with the center bar buckle has not been entirely positive. First, the buckle is quite heavy, which makes the belt feel uncomfortable feels a bit clunky.Secondly, I found that the center bar can be tricky to adjust and requires a lot of physical effort. Finally, I was a bit disappointed with the price - I felt I paid more for the belt buckle than I should have.Overall I would say the Tandy Leather Center Bar Buckle is a solid product, but there is some room for improvement. While the quality is excellent, the price could have been lower and the buckle could have benefited from a lighter, more easily adjustable design. Out of these For reasons I would give the Tandy Leather Center Bar Buckle 3 stars out of 5.

Pros
  • Strong attractive buckle and I'm sure it will last a long time. My handmade belt feels very secure with it.
Cons
  • Tandy Leather Center Bar Buckle 1-1/2" (38mm) Solid Brass 1722-01 is priced higher than average for a regular leather buckle, making it an expensive option for buyers.
