Bad thread, won't tighten, bad product.

Bought for a friend previously bought one for my car and everything ran perfectly well tightened but was embarrassed not being able to tighten the set screws so had to leave. I told him to get new set screws and see if it works, if not bad I'll have to send it back and think I'll have it exchanged and see if it works.
