After I connected this to my Macbook and connected my devices including the charging cable, my computer turned BLACK. Then it won't work. It wouldn't turn on, stopped responding, and completely disconnected from me! This is the computer I spent $4,000 on (my primary content creation computer). I was TERRIBLE. I called Apple Support and they told me about some hacks that didn't work. Finally, I tried restarting and pressing certain keys and the computer responded. We almost had to reformat it to get it working again. I will NEVER buy an adapter under $40-50 and try to be "cheap" again! Lesson learned!
