Strange but works

This device is a good idea but the execution is a bit unusual. Trying to connect it to a Bluetooth speaker or headset can be frustrating, and in fact I couldn't get it to work initially. But since I'm a bit stubborn, I stuck with it. I've noticed that other nearby Bluetooth devices get confused and won't connect. I have hearing aids that connect to my phone via Bluetooth, and I have a Bluetooth transmitter that connects to my office TV, which I also use for my headphones. So I put my hearing aids away and turned off the other transmitter to make sure that audio transmitter and my headphones were the only active Bluetooth devices nearby. Then this procedure worked: Put the headphones into pairing mode, turn on the E-1 device, press the E-1 pairing button for a few seconds until the blue light started flashing, and a magical connection was formed. What he did, the blue light on the E-1 came on, indicating the connection had been established. I put on my headphones and heard noises. Once connected, everything works pretty well. Volume is controlled by a toggle switch on one side and tone selection by a toggle switch on the other. Audio fidelity is good, at least for the high-end headphones I've used. The volume range is good and should satisfy all listeners. I love that you can use your own device with it - it offers good flexibility. In addition to the apparent quirkiness, however, there are some disadvantages. First, there is no list of sounds. I counted 20, but what is white noise, brown noise, etc.? I liked the bells and the murmur of the creek. Secondly, there is no other way to select the sound you want other than by continuous scrolling. It's tedious, and some other sound machines have ways of going straight to the sound you want. Third is the price. Fifty dollars isn't much for a sound machine. All in all it's an inventive idea that works, but I wish it didn't have the disadvantages mentioned above.
