I accidentally bought this for my SO. Other than replacing her laptop (Dell 1545) there hasn't been a proven "need" for it in the last 13-14 years so it's time to move on. I was able to snag this HP 15-DY1024wm at a very reasonable price and it was worth every penny. A great little dual-core i3 processor with 4 threads and integrated Intel graphics is more than enough for web surfing, video streaming and office applications. HDMI output for connection to an external monitor or television. multiple USB ports for external storage if required. This platform itself allows you to update it as needed. 4GB of DDR4 2666 memory is a bit disappointing, but I added another 4GB module to the second available slot, which gives 8GB and allows dual channel RAM to work properly. This alone helped speed up the process significantly, and the cost was only about $20. (My RAM model was Samsung 4GB DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666MHz, 260PIN SODIMM, 1.2V, CL 19, MODEL: M471A5244CB0-CTD). update if you find this little guy doesn't suit your needs. However, the integrated Intel graphics will be a major bottleneck for any graphics-intensive application. 128GB M.2 is too small for any modern computer. My personal opinion is that every modern computer should have at least a 256GB HDD/SSD. The M.2 drive itself does not support NVMe. So if you want to upgrade your internal storage, make sure you buy a SATA M.2 compatible SSD. In the real world, you probably won't experience any noticeable lag unless you're trying to process large files for a long time. If that were the case, you wouldn't buy a budget laptop and would be tempted to buy something with higher technology. Regardless of the price paid, I look forward to seeing this little fellow serve us for years.
