Review on ๐ŸŽด MECO STAKMORE Folding Card Table with Scalloped Edge in Elegant Cherry Finish by Jennifer Brogdon

What a gem! best in category Folding tables

A bit shocked at how beautiful this table is. I bought this to use in our garage as a sort of versatile extra work/hobby space or as an occasional hanging spot for a quick chat and tea. When you compare that to the asking price for typical vinyl coated metal frame chart tables, that's a particularly surprising price. My husband grumbled half-jokingly that it was too heavy. This isn't a typical complaint about mass-produced portable furniture. It's so hard! No wobble, smooth surface, no sharp chemical smell. And brilliantly packaged; ours was delivered on a damp day and sat on our porch for hours. Fearing that it might be damaged I was delighted to find that it was double boxed and carefully packaged. I've ordered more expensive parts that don't get as much care in the packaging. One reviewer said the legs weren't locking, but the table I received in early 2019 definitely has locking legs. I opted for a scalloped cherry finish, which is actually not "cherry". Cherry wood is typically reddish in hue and reads more formally, which can distort the gloss a bit, but it's more of a low-gloss brown that I would classify as walnut or fruitwood. As this table is also offered in fruitwood, I'm curious to see what that finish looks like? It can be portable and made just for extra seating for the kids or for games and puzzles, but when I was in college I was on a budget. I would have no hesitation in using it as a full dining table in my tiny apartment. That puts something out of the big box stores in the shade. Note that it's a bit smaller than a standard chart table, but it's worth shaving a few inches. It's very durable though, so I don't want my elderly mom carrying it around. If this is not a problem for you, please feel free to buy it. Five big stars for quality, looks and affordability.
