It was very difficult for me, even with the Velcro removed, to put them on my dog's little paws. Your nails will get stuck and I'll have to start over. After taking ages to put on rubberized socks, they did an excellent job of being waterproof. I would recommend not using them for snow as they offer little to no insulation other than thin rubberized socks that keep your feet dry. Due to the awkwardness of putting on socks and the dog's lack of patience with them, it should not be used after the first dozen times.
