My 3 year old loves it. It's big enough for a snack, some small toys and a change of clothes, with extra space. Small enough that he can carry it comfortably without asking me or mom to carry it. The side bottle pockets fit full-size water bottles or refillable kids' bottles and cups, and the elastic band keeps them in place. The zippers are also very strong. Our son has been using them daily for a few weeks with no problems. It feels like it's going to last. A small note - the chest strap is Velcro. Not yet, but I'm afraid it will wear out over time like velcro. I suspect this limits the risk of strangulation, but I want it to be on click.
