I was very unimpressed with the sound quality and didn't hear any difference other than the built-in microphone in my iPhone 12. I was ready to return it and even printed out the Revain return code. When I packed it up, I found the instruction manual at the bottom of the box (outside the case with all the accessories). Turns out I was using the wrong cable. The cable is important and the direction of the cable is important. I hear a slight improvement with this mic when the cable is connected properly, and slightly better improvement outdoors in windy conditions. Manufacturer's recommendation: Please put the user manual in the bag with all other accessories and not on the bottom of the box where it is almost invisible.
