Wish it could be done better

I got them the other day and I was so excited. My husband and I put them on but unfortunately they weren't securely fastened like a bracelet. My husband fell apart before he could put it on and I had to retie it. I used to have mine but it fell off badly and is now gone forever. I like the way they look visually but they don't hold up well enough.
