These thick Areca leaf panels are very strong and durable. I love making pumpkin buns and this dish is perfect for gift giving or just to serve. They are fully biodegradable, compostable, microwavable and chemical free. Food does not sag in these palm leaf plates and moisture does not penetrate. I researched areca palms because I had never heard of them before and found them to be great for uses like these dishes. I used the record, then washed and dried it to see if I could use it again. I could, but found that the dishes began to deteriorate after the second wash. I rate this product 5 stars and recommend this item.
