I think they are as pretty as eyeshadow toppers to really add some interest to an ordinary look. The opacity isn't 100% so you can still see the look you're creating underneath the shimmer, but choosing a nice complementary topper to match your look will really enhance your work. I love the bluish hue over purple (the purple is my favorite colorful look any day of the week!). In my image linked to my link I have an image where I just took a shade of blue and above that took a shade of blue over a shade of lavender. It is so beautiful!
