Don't go to the scratching post

I have had cats for many years. As members of my family, I want them to have a good time and enjoy where they are lying outside their window. I've had a lot of scratching posts too, but this one unfortunately has some issues. First, I think it's important to understand what kind of house my cat lives in. I have an 18 year old large boned tortoiseshell cat who is six years old. I have an eighteen month old Bombay cat and we have an exotic long haired kitten who was born in September. Feedback: GOOD: 1. It comes in a medium sized compact box, easy to take home.2. The directions are very detailed. I was able to put it together by myself in one evening while watching Netflix. 3. It's not very heavy, so you don't need two people to put it in the right place. The color matches the photos shown on Revain so it will match your home decor. I got a light gray and it was blurry at 0.5. It has many places where multiple cats can stay.6. It has a good combination of scratching post and carpet for aesthetics.7. It has cozy baskets as well as hanging baskets for cats who love both. The cat houses are easy to assemble and attach to the finished scratching post. I was very surprised at how easily they fit together. They are big enough for my 18 lb cat to come and go with ease. BAD: 1. No matter what cat jumps on this scratching post, it will tremble quite a lot because its base is extremely small for the size of the scratching post itself. 2. Although you have filled out all 14 pages of the detailed instructions and double-checked that everything fits as it should, the scratching post is leaning because the building materials are a bit cheap.3. The carpet that covers most of the scratching post isn't thick and plush, it's a cheaper type and if you have a cat that loves to scratch it like I do then this scratching post isn't going to last long. . There is not much space between the different levels of the scratching post. Cats who have a problem with a cat in your feline family may not like being close to each other. So if you are looking for a scratching post that will increase the distance between your cats, this is not a scratching post worth buying. If like me you have a dog at home. The dog will be able to knock it over very easily even if you fasten it like I did. For reference, I have a 5 month old Labrador Border Collie mix that weighs 28 pounds. CONCLUSION: Overall, as a mother of three cats that I really love, I can't recommend this scratching post as a good buy, I'm afraid it will tip over. and hurt one of my cats and I wouldn't want that to happen. I think even if you only have one cat, you should do yourself a favor and buy a scratching post with a wide, thick, and strong base. The scratching post is an investment in enriching the lives of our friends and is intended to make them feel safe and loved, unfortunately for me this scratching post is very weak. I don't think I will be using this on my cats long term. If I could return it I would. I don't think this is a good investment in my cats safety and happiness.
