Better than pH lowering
I tried to make my fresh water tank pH neutral by natural means (driftwood, peat filter) then got nothing stable and reliable with dAPI pH lowering. I used the simple dAPI test kit to constantly monitor my pH. Finally pulled the trigger for the electronic pH meter and this pH neutralizer. A month later and 4 water changes I finally have a good pH of 7.1.
