I rarely use a hair dryer, especially in the summer, so I needed something to keep my wet hair out of the way and to help dry it. It helps. I have the yellow one which is fun and very soft and easy to use. It seems to stretch a bit after a few uses, requiring you to twist it more and more to keep it in place. I like the button closure to keep it secure. I haven't tried washing yet. It says hand wash or use bag and I will definitely use a bag. So far happy with the purchase.
