I need to think about it a little. I saw it and thought that with all these parts it must be very useful someday. It's all 1/4", so it's compatible with almost every camera tripod and mount available today. In fact, this is a cell for the poor. I've tried 3 different full-size DSLRs and they all fit perfectly between the rails. The grips can be installed in one of 5 different orientations and you can use either or both guides. There are 8 male and female threaded grips which offer most of the versatility I mentioned at the beginning. One of the phone mounts is the spring type and the other of the threaded clip type, each with two regular threaded sockets. The handles have a nice firm feel and a bit soft texture for finger grips. If I had one complaint about this item it would be that the packaging is TOO strong. Every item has a special cutout where it fits and each one is held tightly, very tightly you have to take the entire liner out of the box and the Push pieces out from behind to get them out. It's stupid to complain, but it's annoying to have to use two hands to remove a part. I've searched Revain for the DreamGrip and it appears to be a junior version of their much larger (and more expensive) Evolution series. . It looks like they're trying to transfer the features of professional gear to aspiring filmmakers. They offer a whole range of accessories, attachments and hardware to add to the handles and rails and I would say you can use an endless variety of your own hardware as well. While a full kit might seem like it would be a good fit if you're looking to start somewhere but are on a tight budget, I don't think you can go wrong with this kit.
