The difference between this and the AV cable that comes with the system cables is stunning! Of course there's still a lot of aliasing and some noise, but that's how console games were 20 years ago. This is exactly what I wanted, an adapter that displays exactly what the Xbox is outputting without messing with the image. This image is from the chronicles of Riddick's escape from Meat Cove. The game runs at a maximum resolution of 480p, so I set the display type setting in the console control panel to Normal and for the TV screen (zoom in on my TV menu, this is an old item from a 50 inch 1080p led tv) is normal. And it's 4:3! I was happy about it! I was worried this would stretch the image and luckily it doesn't. When I change the console's display type setting to widescreen, it displays HD 480p with a 16:9 aspect ratio. That looks good too, but I personally prefer 4:3 for older games like this. Overall it has exceeded my expectations and my games look and sound amazing! Good colors, no lag and works right out of the box. Well worth the money, especially considering you can buy 2 or 3 of these cables for the price of a used Monster Comp cable. But that, you won't regret it! especially when you consider that you can buy 2 or 3 of these for the price of a used Monster Comp cable.
