CCTV cameras are essential to prevent or detect potentially malicious activity on or near your property. However, often the mere *threat* of a security camera can stop a criminal from doing anything. Hence the use of a dummy camera! I bought a dummy camera after a recent argument with my neighbor over a property dispute. He threatened me and my property several times and I searched for a solution that could stop him from doing anything. Of course, if something happens, since I'm using a dummy camera, I have no proof; but I wanted to at least try to prevent it in the first place. I chose this dummy camera because of the cost and because it looked like the real thing. It seemed like it would be easy to install and get the job done when I needed it. The device comes with a surveillance camera, three mounting screws and plastic anchors, and a "Smile, you're in touch" sticker. Camera". The camera has a solid design as it is made of durable plastic. It has a sliding cover that slides out of the camera to protect it from the elements and also add realism to it. Finally, there is the flashing red LED easy to see that passers-by are being 'recorded'. I was able to install the unit in about five minutes. I recommend unscrewing the pan head that connects to the camera to have a clear view of the mounting holes to attach the screws. If you did this and once the bracket is installed, you can simply reattach the camera with the screw.You can then reposition the camera at almost any angle that suits your needs.In addition, there is a rubber wire that extends from the back of the camera with a fourth hole in the middle of the mounting bracket.I used this handle to insert the "wire" to make it looked like it was connected to my house. I've already had two compliments from neighbors that this unit is a great addition. They don't know it's fake because I want them to be perceived as real. Overall I like this dummy camera and would recommend buying it if you need to prevent malicious activity on or near a property. If you have problems with your neighbors maybe this can help as well as I hope it will help in my case.
