Excellent value for money

In general I am satisfied with the purchase. The laptop came in the original + protective packaging. It is thin and light as advertised. The lid is clearly plastic at first glance (which has already been mentioned in the reviews, so no one should complain about that, especially given the price), but the pinstripe grooves give it a classy look. Another reviewer mentioned that the screen's plastic bezel is a little flimsy, and I tend to agree as I feel a slight recoil when I press it and one of the corners can be easily manipulated with my fingernail. upset? Yes. Aesthetically striking? no The aluminum surface housing the keyboard and mouse is matte black with almost invisible etched grooves. Something sticks to the magnet, but always feels cold. The keyboard itself isn't removable due to the one-piece case, so I'd like a free silicone protector, or at least an Acer original protector. The connections are well placed. Please note that this laptop does NOT have a VGA port, so you will need to purchase an adapter for presentations if needed. I'm constantly aware of this so I don't accidentally break it if I bump into something.) This mouse pad is annoying at the moment and takes a little getting used to. how a right click becomes a selection. Gestures work well, although they can be overly sensitive at times. Under the hood is a gorgeous Full HD matte screen. Boot time is less than 10 seconds after turning on, although I suspect this may change as I start installing more programs. Starting with Windows 7, version 10 is a nightmare to navigate (why is the Control Panel considered an app?), so I suppose it took me weeks of learning to tweak the settings to my liking. The webcam works clearly with video conferencing without lag, and the built-in microphone works clearly. a good thing). I hope more tech-savvy people can provide performance analysis and the like. My last laptop (11.6 inch netbook), also from Acer, has been with me for 5 years, so I hope this slimmer, lighter and more powerful device can follow suit.
