I originally thought these boxes would be a great box for cakes under 20cm in diameter. But if you put the top and bottom together, you will quickly find that the top and bottom are too close together, making the box difficult to open and making the box unsuitable for cakes. For cakes it is better to have a hinged lid. If the box was for a gift, the box is still too tight to open easily. For storage, the boxes are strong enough to be stacked, but I would store things that don't need to be opened and closed multiple times.
