I use them on cloth masks that I sew for people with clearance. Position a 3/16" flat elastic so that it is wraps around the head and neck. Not being in direct contact with users, I have to leave the elastic so they can adjust it themselves. These cord stoppers hold the elastic very well. The elastic fitted perfectly, but if it were wider, it would be too wide for these cord locks.The cord lock button should be fully depressed, after which an elastic thread is passed through each of the two resulting holes.I like the wide cord lock button because I have arthritis in my fingers and the spring on them is quite stiff.
