I needed a carrier bag for my new rescue kitten's first vet exam and due to the schedule I chose Amazon as my local pet stores didn't have a great selection. I've never had a cat. before, but I've always disliked the big, clunky plastic boxes I always see on cats. I was interested in this tote bag because it doesn't look like a backpack at all, but more like a small sports bag. It's perfect for my needs. Since I bought her just under a month ago she has been to the vet twice and has also traveled with me. This is useful for two different entries. The top entrance is for dropping the kitty, and the side entrance is for them to go in themselves. The mesh is great because you can keep an eye on the kitten and it seems to me that the kitty doesn't feel restricted. I would say check the measurements. I have a medium and she weighs less than five pounds. It fits, but I guarantee I'll have to increase the size before it hits the ten pound mark. I highly recommend. It's easy to carry. As I said, it's basically a duffel bag. Two small handles or shoulder straps. One of my neighbors who has had cats all her life saw me wearing them and ordered one the same day.
