Review on Polk Signature Center Channel Speaker by Greg Mack

I am using this speaker connected to Yamaha Rxv-581. It replaced the Polk CS1. I use all Polk speakers, 60's and 30's monitors. The S35 center channel is a very noticeable upgrade from my previous center channel. It offers a much wider and more accurate sound field than my CS1. Dialogue is clearer and more balanced with the same EQ settings. After I changed the settings it got even better. In fact, I thought my hearing would be deteriorating before purchasing this speaker because soft dialogue was difficult to hear and understand. S35 seems to clean up and reinforce this low-level dialogue. I suspect it has to do with the 7 speakers versus the 3 speakers in the center channel. I'm already thinking about buying some more of these for presence speakers.
