This swimsuit is very cute. It fits well and looks great. I can't say it's the right size because clothes like this, I honestly don't think there is a right size because every woman is made differently. Swimwear and lingerie needs to be bought and hoped for the best, but that's fine for a 165-pound, 5ft 7in teenage girl. It's made from thick materials and can be machine washed and tumble dried, but I recommend using a low temperature. The tie-dye pattern is unique. Great gift idea for a teenager! Good value for money.
