Gift for the birth of a child. it's nice and compact. The photo shows the 'capsule' style packaging, yet it comes in a square cardboard container. When someone cares? (I thought it would be nice to put the capsule on the vanity, but that doesn't change the function of the items inside!) I appreciated the fact that they were made with safety in mind. for anyone trying to trim newborn/toddler nails. To put it mildly, it can be a little stressful! They have a nice little angle for the smallest fingertips... and leave less room to trim the nail too short. With small pliers you can cut the nail in the same way. Personally, I'm not sure this file would be useful, but it's nice to have one in an emergency, and tweezers can help in a variety of situations, so I'm glad to have a pair that are rated child safe ! **Hack: After having four kids and volunteering to help detoxify over 70 drug-addicted newborns in our home, I've learned... how best to trim a newborn/toddler's nails when: YOU SLEEP! Trust me - of course! you must be very mean and gentle. but they will have no natural reaction to withdraw their hand and that will help you a lot! Overall I would say this is a solid set that comes at a respectable price. This set is practical and makes a great baby/soul gift. Something new parents forget to buy. it will be very nice to any new parent. I hope this information helps... Let me know!
