Works like a champion: Tripods and Monopods
. What can I say? It's a keeper! One thing I didn't expect - whatever you install it will only be held in place by friction in the ball head. I guess I expected the little Manfrotto icon to be an unlock button, but it's not. However, it seems durable and I don't see any way the friction could go away over time. So it absolutely does the job I was hoping for - fits snugly on my Manfrotto ML240, good for flash. My Olympus OM-D cameras' shoes are on the bottom (there's even a 1/4-20 socket so you can mount them on a pocket tripod). I couldn't ask for more.
