Review on 🚿 Speakman SM-1090-ADA-PBN Neo: Anystream Handheld Shower Head with Hose, Valve, Tub Spout, ADA Grab Bar - Brushed Nickel by Anthony Starr

Very good in bath faucets and shower heads

The design is nice and simple and should go well with my sink faucet although it is more traditional. The quality is ok. The handle has a plasticky feel and no part of the mount is as solid as a higher quality mount (I've used Rohl and Newport Brass mounts and while they look good, they don't quite match the weight). The final installation has not yet been done, so I can't comment on the quality of the shower itself. After receiving the faucet and having the plumber look at it, I realized that what I really needed was a regular fixed shower head as well as a detachable handle, so I ordered a matching shower head and a two-way switch so I could use the shower anyway could use . I think this will be important on resale so the shower doesn't look like a disabled shower. One point for those who are disabled and need a handrail, this isn't a particularly heavy bar and the plumber said he didn't think it was an ADA complaint. He also pointed out that if it's installed where a fixed showerhead would normally be (on a wall with a valve) it may not work as a good handrail as the person will reach forward and potentially fall forward and possibly up hits the head. on the valve cover. I was planning on using the second of these strips on the other end of the shower but decided against it. First, it looks bulky and second, if it's not durable, why bother? I hope it will be a good strong water current as is often the case with Speakman. This is for a hallway bathroom that is rarely used and I wanted it to look neat if resold. I think this should work. I'll report back eventually if there are any issues with the feature.

Pros
  • Hand held shower heads
Cons
  • Some little things
