This is the perfect size and shape for my homemade kombucha. It takes about 7 cups of tea to fill and vice versa to fill 4 bottles of Grohl when finished. With the remaining cup or so down (under the faucet) for continuous brewing. The perfect amount for a single brewer. I bought a stainless steel faucet and replaced it with the plastic one that came with it. It arrived safe and sound and has been brewing for 8 weeks so far. I chill my tea before adding it back to the starter and SCOBY. (using a funnel and a 12" piece of surgical tubing inserted just under the rim of the SCOBY - works great!)
