Works well. The engine for the Shine is a bit noisy, but it was one that should replace the other that doesn't. I've actually installed ceramic tile in my bathroom and run fiber optic cable under the tile and out of the grout and used a different fiber optic light source (maybe it was the same company, not sure) but haven't done any research. So I bought this one and basically I had to drill and burn through the fiber optic light wire from this connector to make it work (what a mess) because the inserts were a different diameter. I set it up and it works great. The other one couldn't make pure white either, and I thought they were actually lines of fibers, but it was a unit because I can make white now. It's a great device for the price and serves its purpose. I hooked it up to a motion sensor so when we go to the bathroom at night it turns on as a night light for 2 minutes lol.
