I love this. I use it as a side table next to the sofa and it's higher than the sofa armrest but I honestly haven't looked at the dimensions so that's why I am not sure what i was expecting. Make sure you insert the dowels. all the way because I guess I didn't and one started damaging/piercing the bottom (see pic). You will need a screwdriver or two (various sizes) and you will likely need a second person to intervene if you need to insert 3 dividers. You don't reach the back (wish they did so I could attach a back board for more support) so someone else has to hold 2 in place while you hold the 3rd and attach the bottom. This step is awkward and getting all the dowels in all the holes was harder than we anticipated. That's how mine got damaged, but that's the floor so I don't care. It's chipboard or whatever you call it, so not a particularly durable piece of furniture, but it looks pretty cool. You can also use it without rivets if you want. Overall I like it but it was a bit of a hassle to put it together, it took a while and I needed help for that one step but I love it. Over the years I have collected a lot of such furniture and I would not say that this is the most difficult, but not the easiest and not the most beautiful. For the price I think it's worth it.
