You get what you pay for

Considering the price these bar stools are satisfactory. On the plus side, all the holes are aligned and drilled correctly, so the overall assembly went well. Assemble four in under an hour at a leisurely pace. The workmanship is also good, the visible changes are more like normal wear and tear than manufacturing defects. Fair: Sticky felt pads are included to protect the floors, which is necessary because of the rough legs, but not a real solution for carpets. Felt can prevent the carpet from tearing, but it's not slippery at all. I will add more matching legs. Cons: These stools come with a metal leg plate that wraps partially around one of the bottom bars. All the ones I received had significant corrosion and damage to the metal surface. They all looked old, but the rest of the stool didn't. These stools might be cheap, but those metal tops are still terribly poorly made. The pair had squeezed adhesive out of the bottom so I had to carefully peel it off. Confusing: These items come with wooden dowels/pegs and instructions on how to use them in assembly. but they could not be used because the required holes had not been drilled. Although the crossbar had a hole for a dowel, there was no corresponding hole in the leg. The product comes without the glue that is often included with this type of pen. Glue would be handy for the small wooden dowels that are meant to cover the screw holes as these things don't stay in place on their own. I used my own glue and a cloth covered hammer to gently tap the lids to hold them in place. Comfort: It's not a bank, but it's not much better either. They are fine for a breakfast bar but I wouldn't plan on hanging them for any length of time.
