I bought this product because my son (6 months old) has the same fair skin as me - we are both redheads - and he has dry skin on his face and a small rash. All those old reserves that everyone recommends like Aquaphor and Aveeno only made things worse. So I bought it thinking it was a godsend. Boy was I wrong. I put it on my face on the affected areas and started looking for my purse, keys and so on to go to the store. My husband called me into the living room and when I looked at him (our son) I was horrified - everywhere I put the cream it was red. I mean it was to the point where you could actually see the line where I put it on his face and ran my finger down his neck where the cream was applied to it - you could see the swirls around the edges, where I applied the cream. rubbed it lightly. Scared both of us to death to say the least. We immediately washed off and the redness started to go away. We are first time parents so please don't yell at me and tell me to do test patches with every new product. We do it religiously now. We both felt absolutely terrible about it. I just assumed with all the amazing reviews I read about this product on their website it would work for that. We tried the California Baby Super Sensitive and Eczema lines and the rash was gone. Firm dry skin. Slight redness right after application but the pediatrician said it's just from the friction of the application. The problem is solved. So if you try this, please learn from our bug and patch test first. This might work for your baby - as we said, our son's skin is extremely sensitive (i.e. we can only use ONE diaper brand and ANY deviation from that will result in a HORRIBLE rash). But it didn't work for us.
