My son will soon be 6 and buying him shorts or pants is a real pain. It fits 2T and 3T waists easily but usually needs a 4T/5T length. All of his shorts that fit around his waist only go halfway down his hips. We bought these size XXS pants for a national park trip with a 70 temp drop and some creek hikes and I'll try to report how they hold up. But once he put them on and unbuttoned his pants, he said he wanted to wear them EVERY DAY because they were longer than his other shorts (nobody ever told him that, but he did notice). very small at the waist (they might even be smaller than him!), but don't fold your pants. You are looking very beautiful. As for the pants, they're a bit longer on him when he's wearing shoes, but I either roll them up once or pull them up an inch. I thought it was a one time purchase but we will be buying more! Only 4 stars because the pants can get snagged on the zipper when opening and the adjustable waistband is much stiffer and more itchy than most kids pants.
