I have a fairly dark office with dark green walls. In two corners I have floating shelves with my stereo speakers. I was looking for a good way to add some nice lighting behind my speakers, but I hate cables. After trying several solutions, I bought one of these flashlights to test. The battery life is still unknown, but I am very satisfied with this light. The brightness is great for my needs. If you need this for your main light source, consider more than one. At first I didn't think I would be interested in Multicolor, but actually I really like it. The remote lets you choose between primary colors (red, green, blue, or white), but also offers 5 RGB color options so you can find the exact color you need. Criticism I've seen in other reviews. One reviewer said the battery compartment is difficult to reach. I'm not sure why this user was having such a hard time. There are arrows on the back of the lantern that indicate which way to slide it to open and close. It is very easy to open the compartment and insert the batteries. I also saw several comments about the remote not working. I think a lot of people are used to Bluetooth and other wireless technologies for remote controls these days. This particular one uses infrared and is in line of sight. The IR receiver on the flashlight is the power switch. In my case I have lamps behind the speakers (Klipsch RP-160M if you want to know how big they are) and although the IR receiver is not visible, the remote works fine because the IR beam from the speakers is reflected. wall behind speakers. I think the remote control is pretty good. Overall, I find this lamp very valuable. For $17 plus tax and shipping, I have a great wireless decorative lighting solution and the flexibility to change the color of the light to suit my mood.
